Services

Kane Training provides post-rehabilitation physical therapy and fitness training to both individuals and groups. Training can occur in the home, health club, or your location.

Bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance...Kane Training implements this philosophy through educating clients on how to safely progress from their injured state to a level of higher performance. Conversely, while training for performance, the integration of proper technique and therapy related exercises will help achieve a structural balance between strength, power, flexibility, and functional mobility.

Kane Training offers related services such as:
  • Functional movement screens (biomechanical assessment) to assess potential areas of structural imbalances within the body that may lead to injury or diminished performance
  • Prescriptive programs for correcting structural imbalances (weak links) that have been identified through the evaluation process.
  • Injury prevention programs for athletes of all levels, including triathletes, endurance athletes, tennis, etc...
  • Golf conditioning programs for individuals and as a service for country clubs
  • Post-rehabilitation fitness and sports specific training.
  • Physical therapy and fitness training with the flexibility to work in the home or health club setting, as well as sporting events, camps, athletic clubs and facilities.
  • Workshops on spine care, injury prevention, and fitness related topics

  • Methods

    Musculoskeletal Assessment
A one hour initial evaluation includes a functional movement screen along with a biomechanical evaluation. Posture, flexibility, soft tissue quality, strength, and functional mobility will be assessed. The assessment is the tool that uncovers the structural imbalances or "weak links" within the body that may be impairing your performance. A thorough evaluation is the key for injury prevention and provides the road map to enhanced performance.

    Corrective Exercise
Exercises that are prescribed for addressing structural imbalances of the human body such as poor posture, decreased flexibility and joint mobility, lack of balance, decreased trunk strength and impaired movement patterns. Think of the human body as a steel link chain...if there is a weak link within the chain it will eventually break over time. Corrective exercise is the method used to strengthen the body's weak links, enabling the client to progress to a higher level.

    Golf Conditioning Programs
Golfers are notorious for buying the latest equipment to improve their score, however, the most important piece of equipment is never in the bag...your body plays an integral part in the quality of your game. Post Rehabilitation
For those who have been discharged from physical therapy or who are dealing with chronic orthopedic issues, wouldn't it make sense to work with someone who has spent over 15 years in the allied health field and can "speak the language" in order to bridge the gap between your clinical discharge and feeling fully recovered? Taking advantage of this experience allows me to design safe and effective programs for those who would like to move beyond the physical therapy realm and into a progressive fitness program leading to a more active and enjoyable lifestyle.
